Wellness Care...
The yearly physical exam is as important for your pet as it is for you.
Typical exams include your pet’s vaccine boosters, a fecal test to check for intestinal parasites, and a heartworm test (for dogs) or feline FIV/Felv test (for outdoor cats).
It is hospital policy that all animals receive an annual exam with their yearly set of vaccines.
If you choose to go elsewhere for vaccinations, an exam is still required every 12 months to keep your pet current with our hospital and eligible to use our services.
Best of Care
Our doctors recommend annual exams for your pet, whatever their age.
nose-to-tail evaluation
Your vet will look at the teeth and oral cavity, eyes and ears, listen to the heart and lungs, palpate the abdomen, and check the skin and body condition including flexibility or hip and shoulder range of motion in dogs. If your pet is over the age of seven, our doctors may recommend baseline bloodwork to ensure your pet doesn’t have an underlying condition.
Why is this important
Bringing your cat or dog to the doctor every year for a checkup is one of the most effective ways to ensure your pet’s ongoing health.
